Superhero News For The Week Ending 4/27/12

As we get closer and closer to the release of the Avengers (that is, in North America), more and more is showing up online and offline for this movie. Take, for instance, a new exhibit of the Avengers made of wax in NYC's Madame Tussaud's Museum. While online, clips from the movie keep coming out such as these.

Two movie theater companies (AMC and Cinemark) will be hosting Marvel Movie Marathons on May 3rd up to midnight for the premiere of the Avengers. The better of the two deals is [Cinemark theaters for $20, that's right twenty smackers for all six movies back-to-back.

Related to the Avengers, the actor who plays **Loki**, Tom Hiddleston, wrote an op-ed article about the importance of superhero acting roles  that's been noticed online.

Just because the Avengers has a lot of hype doesn't mean The Dark Knight Rises or The Amazing Spider-Man cannot ride on their coattails. It's been confirmed that both movies will have new trailers that will be shown in theaters before The Avengers.

For the Amazing Spider-Man, there's a viral website that is supposed to be Peter Parker's photography blog.

In Iron Man 3 news, actor Guy Pearce and actress Jessica Chastain will be in this movie while we just learned that Scarlett Johannson as Black Widow will not.

In video game news, **Batman: Arkham City Game Of The Year** edition (all the patches and downloadable content included since its release) will be released on May 29th. Here's the trailer:
