Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger III is a real-life superhero for gliding US Air Flight 1549 onto the surface of the Hudson River near mid-town Manhattan. He’s being described as the consummate professional who handled this extremely difficult situation with grace under pressure.
He acted the way a superhero would in such a dire predicament. Passengers safely escaped the sinking plane that was that filling with water (at 41 degrees). Instead of leaving with the passengers and crew, Sullenberger checked the aircraft to make sure there was no one left behind – twice.
Kudos to Super “Sully” for the way he reacted, made decisions and saved 155 people from possible death. Simply Superheroes salutes Sullenberger and we hope our readers will tell their young superhero fans about this pilot heroism.
